Setup Development: Evaluate
You use the Evaluate tab to check the material class quantities and qualities of development headings before scheduling. The charts and reports are displayed in two separate tabs on the right-hand pane.
If the headings do not pass through the centroid of a block in the block model, the material class of the data that appears in the charts and reports is UNDEFINED. You can use the Use partial percentages check box to dynamically sub-block the model to make sure the headings pass through the centroid of one of the divided blocks. The charts and reports then include the classes for material that are defined in the block.
The Precision field allows you to select the number of sub-blocks that the original block is divided into. Each increment in the precision number divides each block into 8 smaller blocks. A precision value of 1 means that the original block is divided into 8 blocks. A precision value of 2 means that the original block is divided into 8 blocks, and then each of those blocks is divided into 8 blocks, giving a total of 64 sub-blocks. The precision field accepts values from 1 through 5. The higher the precision value, the greater the processing time. Only in rare cases do you need to use a precision greater than 3.
Charts
Charts display the total values, separated by material class, for length, volume, mass, average qualities, aggregate qualities, and user calculations for all headings selected in the 3D Canvas.
The number of charts displayed in the Charts tab depends on the number of qualities and user calculations in the scenario. You can customise the layout and number of charts that you see in the Charts tab using the layout buttons at the upper left of the chart area. You use the layout buttons to display one, two, three, or four charts across the width of the chart area.
Chart colours are determined by the Colour selected in the Material classes data grid in the Define Geology > Models tab.
Reports
Reports give the values for length, volume, mass, and qualities of each individual heading selected, separated by material class.
You can group the reports using any column, by dragging the column header into the space above the report titles, which contains the Drag a column header here to group by that column prompt.
